Hello Ady and Welcome to you.

That is sad that you're Grandfather died when you were so
young. I imagine that he was a Good man.

If someone has Family members with Diabetes, it is wise for
their own well-being to be alerted to the symptoms of this
disease so they can receive medical attention if they have it.
I do hope that you do not get it.

Please do go along with your urges to learn about Diabetes
and perhaps help some one that you know who was diagnosed
with it. It is a complicated and frustrating disease at times to
most. They can use all the help they can get. It does take
some time for most to accept Diabetes and its unfortunate
outlook of possible future complications.
