In view of the overall scepticism about the product, I contacted the manufacturers of Diarice. They forwarded the report of a stucy conducted on diabetics which I am attaching for the benefit of all. Heregoes :
EFFECT OF DIARICE USAGE ON CHRONIC DIABETICS ? A STUDY
1. Diarice was first developed 10 years ago. Since then, it has been tested on thousands of persons, with extremely good results.
2. After it was decided to market Diarice commercially, empirical studies were conducted on 50 confirmed diabetics (those who had been diagnosed as suffering from diabetes for five years or more), whose random blood sugar levels ranged from 210 mg/dl to 380 mg/dl. These patients were given 1 cup of cooked Diarice(about 150 grams) twice a day for a period of six weeks. Their blood sugar levels were monitored on a day to day basis. Most registered a decline in blood sugar levels within four days of commencing on Diarice. At the end of the study period (6 weeks), the blood sugar levels of 44 patients had come to normal levels while the others registered between 150 to 200 mg/dl, which was still substantially lower than their commencement levels. From the 14th to the 21st day all the patients were kept on 50 per cent of their regular dosage of medicines. Since there was no surge in their sugar levels, their medicine intake was further halved during the fourth week. When they still maintained satisfactory progress, during the fifth week, their medicines were stopped altogether.
Today, all of the above patients are on a regular diet of Diarice and their blood sugar levels are at an encouraging 80 to 110 mg/dl range. All of the above patients were in the 40+ age group, with 8 persons in the 50+ segment. The tabulated results of the study are given below.
