good insurance, and they only want to pay for ONE glucose check per day, unless I'm on insulin. Um, I want to avoid going on insulin; that's why I want to check more than once a day! It's like they're just hoping you'll die before they have to pay out anything. If you've just been diagnosed with diabetes, what good is ONE glucose check going to do you? You need to monitor alot more than that, at least until you learn the ropes, learn how to eat, learn how different foods affect your BS. Insurance companies make no sense. Greedy, chiselin' weenies! grrrr
