Here is a tipical day that a diabetic will do just to see that their Blood Glucose is to near to normal.
Fristly as one gets out of bed is to test and hopefuly sees an ideal figure then injects a long acting insulin and before we have breakfast is a second injection which is fast acting to cover the food that’s to be eaten.
Once that’s done is to wait 2 hours and test to see that the Blood Glucose returns to an acceptable level again and that level is 6 MMOL/L or the US Standard 108 MD/GL and if we see that then we are happy.
There are many things that makes our BG move up & down and that is other drugs, Emotions, And others that can stir up our levels so we can experiance many frustrating levels and that’s without having a bite of anything.
The wole idea of control is about avoiding complications and so to see that our BG is at between 4 – 8 MMOL/L is acceptable.

- You know the amount of carbohydrates in pretty much every food available
- You have a favorite flavor of glucose tablets Continue reading ‘You Know You Are A Diabetic When…’ »
