Hello: Ewww! I know that I've never heard mention of using cow stomach juices to make cheese. There is a historical village not far from where we live and they make cheese, wool, bread, etc. like they used to in the olden days, while you're watching. Some farmers also make their own cheese. Cheese is suitable for vegetarians since there are no meat products in it. I'm not sure how cheese is made in other countries but nowadays this is usually how it is made in North America. hello terrie, sorry `bout that, lol, yea i thought rennet was used for cheese making, thats why vegetarians couldn`t eat it,i`m just wondering what they use now instead.I plan to have a look around for some cheese that is made the old fashioned way,as i could not live happily without cheese.
I was smiling to myself today, about the positive effect diabetes had on me[i lost 3 stone in about 3 week just before christmas without trying].It was my eyesight starting to act up that finnaly prompted me to go to the doctor.Today someone i hadn`t seen for 6 month remarked that i looked 20 year younger, lol, and the glasses i bought,i don`t need them anymore.I still need a magnifiying glass to read the labels on food packets tho`. thanks for reply.Curedit |

thanks for the link terrie, bloody hell i thought as much, genetically modified rennet.Ah well,it will be fun to find an outlet that makes cheese the old fashioned way.I wish there was a law that made food labels state exactly what was in the product.
Thanks again for saving me from another substance i do not want in my body. bye for now |

Hey There:
LOL! Cheese has turned out to be a Yukky subject, in this case. But as they say, if you eat everything in moderation, it won't kill you. Okay, I made up the last half of that sentence but their last half says moderation of most foods are Good for you or something similar. I agree. I eat small portions of cheese, as I mentioned that I do with most foods. Everyone needs calcium of some sort. Good that you have dropped some weight and are "looking younger". But please do not stop eating altogether...or you will vanish. j/k I wish that there was a law against companies putting "poisons" in our food and other products. Our Govnt's. have certainly been a letdown for some years allowing this onto their People. It seems they ask the companies to mostly "voluntarily" remove the dangerous substances from foods and other products or to state on the label that it is in the product. What's that all about? Who's in charge? I remember about a year or so ago(don't quote me on the Govnt. or country), I think it was the Denmark or Norway's Govnt. that was amazed that our Governt's did it that way. They said they don't tell the company to put the "poison" on the label, they tell the company to remove the "poison" from the product. That's the right thing to do. Good for them. Anyways, enough about that. Last edited by Terrie : 04-28-2008 at 08:10 PM. |
