On Tuesday, March 23, 2010, the American Diabetes Association holds their yearly ALERT DAY! This day is set aside each year to remind people to check their risk factor for diabetes. By visiting their website www.americandiabetesassociation.org there is a quick test that you can take to see if you are at risk for developing diabetes. This is such an important thing to do, the earlier that diabetes is detected, the better. So often, diabetes is detected during a routine blood test. If people were tested every year for diabetes, this would help in keeping complications to a minimum. Why not encourage a loved one in getting tested if they are at risk!
