Friend of mine diagnosed with type 2 diabetic on drug treatment ,blood sugar is not fully controlled constantly ,Please advice on whether he can take insulin to control his blood sugar?

I would advise your friend to talk to his doctor about his diabetes management and whether or not insulin would be compatible with the medications he is taking.

Drugs lower BG (blood sugar)

eating Carbohydrates raise BG, maybe looking at what he eats would help.

Although taking insulin and/or metformin are good tried and true ways to control blood sugars, we all believe that one should also focus on eating less carbohydrates! No carbohydrate is good for a diabetic, no such thing as a good carbohydrate for a diabetic.

The decision to use or not use insulin has apparently already been discussed between your friend and his doctor. There is little to be gained discussing this on the forum through a third party.
