Default Neuropathy

People with diabetes can, over time, develop nerve damage throughout the body. Some people with nerve damage have no symptoms. Others may have symptoms such as pain, tingling, or numbnessóloss of feelingóin the hands, arms, feet, and legs.Your symptoms seem not like Neuropathy because you have pain during the night but diabetic neuropathy , symptoms will be there throughout day worsening during the night and specially when patients diabetic control is not good. My suggestions to do Nerve conduction study to review your diagnosis , if it is diabetic neuropathy treat with Gabapentin or Pregablin to minimize the symptoms. And keep tight blood sugar control and do some physiotherapy to your legs.

Thank you for letting me know this. I have been looking all over the place as to why I only have it at night. I thought it had to do with the Januvia I had started.
When I stopped the pain stopped at night. My control is not good. I exercise, in the morning and at noon the bs reading is the same. I exercise in the afternoon and it drops by suppertime. I have people telling me I should go on insulin while the PA says my numbers are not bad enough to go on insulin. I woke at 4am this morning with burning feet and it goes away when I get up. With the Januvia my entire legs burned and hurts around 3-4am in the morning waking me up. I get up and by 6am it is gone. Thank God for that. Thank you for writing. Truly appreciated. Oh, the PA gave me some type of cream that contrains three medications to rub on my legs. I don't feel like doing this at 3am. I do have the pain and burning, really more burning than pain, but once I wake totally up I can't go back to sleep. Sam
