I can't tell you how many attempts and how many different concoctions that other low carbers and I have come up with in an attempt to make low carb dumplings. The dumplings are placed on top of hot broth, so I believe the stew concept is pretty much the same. Unfortunately, they all disintegrate into nothingness while cooking, no matter how gently we cooked them. If you come up with a recipe that works, please share it with us.

I think the one thing that might work is having an extremely, extremely thick stew, add the crust and pop it in the oven.

If all else fails, you can always have a pot of stew with a biscuit on the side.

These look really good. I'm worried about the strawberries though so I will have to test first. Not having much luck with fruit so far but I am going to see if there are some I can tolerate. Don't know anything else to use other than some kind of fruit.

I think some sort of cream cheese or ricotta cheese mixture would be good in it and add a little fat too.
