How does the Ghirardelli's baking chocolate compare to the cheap Bakers baking chocolate? I'm curious if it's easier to eat "raw", or just what you had on hand.

I've been using Hershey's unsweetened baking chocolate; I find it more palatable than Bakers. My local grocery stores don't carry it though, so I've been ordering it from Amazon.

Slightly less gritty, better mouthfeel. At the local Smart & Final, it's only a dime or two more expensive than the same weight of Baker's.

Also, because it's a thinner bar, instead of blocks, it's easier to do things like spread it with peanut butter.

Daytona and VeeJay like this.
