Here's a link to an article about the procedure that gives a little more details about it (The Hindu : Health : Now, reverse onset of diabetes in 15 minutes). The title of the article, "Now, reverse onset of diabetes in 15 minutes" is misleading. It is not really a surgery to cure or manage diabetes, but an option for weight loss (which will help overweight individuals to lose weight and therefore help them to manage diabetes).

It isn't truly a surgery, in the sense that there is any incision or wound. This EndoBarrier is getting some attention, but I think they need to be very careful what they claim for it. It seems like a practical fairly non-invasive procedure, but when they start saying they're reversing diabetes, I start getting wary. There are already too many of those claims floating around, and they put themselves in some shady company, even if they ARE found to have a safe & reputable product.
