Default *For Any Adult Type 1's Here From Ontario...*

I had mentioned last October(2007) that Adult Type 1 Diabetics living in the Province of Ontario would be offered free Insulin pumps and supplies if they needed them. Mr. Caplan, our Health Minister made the second announcement in Toronto yesterday, that this would begin in September 2008. Finally....

If I remember correctly, Ontario is the trial run. If it is successful here then the rest of Canadians will be offered a free pump and supplies also, if they need them.

The Type 1 Ontarian Children were offered the free pumps and supplies in 2006, I believe. Now I'm Pleased with our Government. If they could get some more of our Doctor's and Nurses back, I'd be Thrilled.

There were 2 similar articles in The Toronto Star, so I included them both:

HealthZone.ca - News & Features - Ontario to supply type-1 diabetics with insulin pumps

HealthZone.ca - News & Features - Ontario's cash has diabetics pumped

Thanks to Megan Ogilvie from The Toronto Star for these articles and anyone else involved.

Hey Peter:

Just like immigrating to any other country, I suppose. Unfortunately, the waiting list is Very long(unless you are a refugee). Are you a refugee Peter?

Aw...Just take a plane over. I'll make sure that you get near the first of the line. Or I'll wear a long over-coat and hide you 'til we get to my limo.

Aww Terrie, I don't think that Australia is a bad place to live and I guess that they would ask that question.

I know that you're right Peter. Australia looks like a Beautiful and Fun place to live. Yes, I'm sure that asking if a Person is a refugee is one of the first questions. So we'll just have to figure out something else for you. (Meanwhile, I'll take my Limo home).

Well, my Daughter is taking a French course in the Fall. You can go with her then. French is only a requirement if you want a job. jk There are a lot of jobs here without having to know the French language. My coat is short so I'll get you a tall one. Well, if you're going to eat all of our salmon, then lets just forget the whole thing.....

Aww Terrie, You are lot of fun and I find that French is a beautiful language. Speaking of coats, There is a coat that is uniquely Australian. Would you like that?

I do enjoy the occasional glass of red wine, preferrably a 5(medium). Maybe 4 times a year. I still have horror pictures in my head when I drink it though, of barefoot People jumping all over those pooor defenseless grapes.

UUMMM... Terrie, We are in the 21st century and feet can be sore if in grapes for too long. And we are going off the topic. These days we have the greatest tools that a winemaker would want and that's a hydraulic grape press and they are certainly a lot more sterile than feet.

I wish that our health minister would give us free insulin pump.

Please miss Nicola Roxon, Can I have a free insulin pump.
Geez, I don't want much do I.
