Just let me caution you about overuse of this mix . . . I've never had issues myself because I use less of it, but OWC started out eating bowl after bowl the way he used to eat grain-based cold cereal, and let's just say his alimentary canal was soon clean as a whistle!
I leave the almonds out of mine, as I can't handle them in any quantity (not even one!). Even without them, it's excellent. I actually made this because I was looking for something kinda crunch to top off my dessert. It's really good. I may make more for work this week, to have in my desk as a snack.
That look's FAB-U-LOUS. It didn't occur to me to slather more and more fat on it. Your recipe looks like more of a snack or breakfast finger-food rather than a cereal since the proportions of sesame seed and coconut are smaller than the one I did. I'm thinking of just taking what I already have done (just a few hours ago), adding the rest of the wet fat-bomb stuff and baking it, maybe for a bit of a shorter time since the ingredients I have on hand are already toasted....something like 40 minutes or so. Do you think that would work? Also, how dry is it? Does it come out loose in consistency? Is it too sticky to eat with your fingers?
This is definitely something I'll do in the future should I fail to resolve the (creamy) dairy part of my morning cereal aspirations. Thanks for the help!
Yeah, it turns out loose as long as you stir during baking - and if it seems sticky when the time is up, just bake a little longer. I eat it like trail mix, but my everlovin' eats in like granola with cream on it.
