Shivering/Tremors & Food "Allergies"

I have type 2 diabetes and have re-started taking oral medication a couple months ago. I am wondering if anyone has experienced becoming extremely cold when they are hungry or tired? Even is my blood sugar is not too low, which it rarely is, I get extremely cold if I go too long without eating, especially when I am tired. I mean so cold that the only way to get warm is to take a hot shower - blankets, hot tea and heat do not warm me up enough. I get this internal quivering-like feeling. I get confused if I should call it a tremor, shiver, or vibrating feeling.

I have alot of strange symptoms. The most unusual is that I break out into a sweat when I have to use the bathroom. Even before I am consciously aware of the need to go, I start feeling hot and then start to sweat. It is like the stress is too much.

I also have major food 'allergy' problems and can't eat any fruits, including olive oil, avacado's, tomatoes, etc. My skin gets extremely dry within hours of eating them and my eyes burn like crazy.

My bs's run about 120-130 in the fasting morning, and can come down to 100 to 80 during the day, depending on how I eat.

I get cold when I go low but when I have good blood sugar levels like you mentioned I do not have that problem. I doubt this is diabetes related. Have you seen your doctor about this? You may be coming down with a virus. A GP rather than an endo might be the best choice of doctor for this problem.

Thanks Richard. What about the sweating when one needs to use the bathroom - have you ever heard of that? Some people have told me that diabetics get gastroparesis and incontinence problems. I had gastroparesis or similar,which cleared up when I stopped some medications, but the sweating still is bad.

I wake up every two hours at night sweaty because I need to use the bathroom. I know diabetics have urinary frequency issues, but I have never heard of the sweating reponse anywhere. This sounds like a autonomic response to me, but who knows (no one knows).

I have been to too many doctors in most fields, incl endo, neuro, gastro, and general.

I am not familiar with shivering/tremors being related to urination problems. I recommend your seeing a urologist. I see my urologist every year for another problem.
