Default waking/fasting levels

High, I have a question about waking/fasting levels. If I take my blood when I wake, about 5 am, it might be 110-140, but if i take it after I have been up for a couple hours, without eating anything, it is almost always 100-110. Which number shgould I pay attention to?

Hello There:

All of your tests are important. They tell you and your Dr. how your current treatment is affecting your Diabetes control throughtout the day(and possibly the night).

Given a choice however between the tests you mentioned, the first number(FBG) when you get up would be the test of interest to your Dr. Welcome!

Both readings are important, but the fasting from bed until you 1st get up is the most important number here.
