Any type 2 here with gallstones or gallbladder problems. I'm looking for advise especially when following a high fat diet. Thanks very much!

I'm pre-D, but I had my gallbladder removed about 20 years ago (and have the "zipper" scar to show for it). I have no trouble with a high fat diet at this time, though right after the surgery I had to be careful to eat fairly low fat or I'd end up with digestive discomfort.

If you still have gallstones or gallbladder problems, conventional wisdom says that a fatty diet can trigger the painful attacks. Other docs believe that they're really triggered from food allergies. Dr. James Howenstine -- What Causes Gall Bladder Pain And How To Avoid Surgery

And there is some evidence that a low-fat diet or rapid weight loss can trigger the onset of gallbladder problems in the first place.
