Sounds to me more or less like something the government came up with to put a little bit more green in there pockets. I wonder how many diabetics are running out there consuming this stuff, thinking wow, no more insulin!!!! So the government is not only making money off of the medication, but now from this new product. So for the gov't its win win, for the rest of us, its still a strugel for survival.

Truthfully I doubt it would have any affect on any diabetic of any type.

My mother in law, who has been a diabetic for almost 30 years has been taking Diarice for the last four months. And believe me, it really works. Today she is off medicines. And her sugar level today is normal. She does not suffer from any tiredness. Altogether very encouraging. The company's other product - Diawheat is also very useful. Whether it will be equally effective in Type 1 diabetes, i really don't know. But then, why not give it a try?

In view of the overall scepticism about the product, I contacted the manufacturers of Diarice. They forwarded the report of a stucy conducted on diabetics which I am attaching for the benefit of all. Heregoes :

EFFECT OF DIARICE USAGE ON CHRONIC DIABETICS – A STUDY

1. Diarice was first developed 10 years ago. Since then, it has been tested on thousands of persons, with extremely good results.

2. After it was decided to market Diarice commercially, empirical studies were conducted on 50 confirmed diabetics (those who had been diagnosed as suffering from diabetes for five years or more), whose random blood sugar levels ranged from 210 mg/dl to 380 mg/dl. These patients were given 1 cup of cooked Diarice(about 150 grams) twice a day for a period of six weeks. Their blood sugar levels were monitored on a day to day basis. Most registered a decline in blood sugar levels within four days of commencing on Diarice. At the end of the study period (6 weeks), the blood sugar levels of 44 patients had come to normal levels while the others registered between 150 to 200 mg/dl, which was still substantially lower than their commencement levels. From the 14th to the 21st day all the patients were kept on 50 per cent of their regular dosage of medicines. Since there was no surge in their sugar levels, their medicine intake was further halved during the fourth week. When they still maintained satisfactory progress, during the fifth week, their medicines were stopped altogether.

Today, all of the above patients are on a regular diet of Diarice and their blood sugar levels are at an encouraging 80 to 110 mg/dl range. All of the above patients were in the 40+ age group, with 8 persons in the 50+ segment. The tabulated results of the study are given below.

I really doubt the scientific value of the described research and the intentions or Mr. Reporter/Dustsree (which suspect to be the same person or from the same company). I will not delete this thread though because I think it is good to discuss this kind of natural cures. Although nothing I read above can convince me that Diarice would be of any value to a Diabetes patient, some people may benefit from it or from other products. Evaluating this among the forum users will help anybody in making good decisions in their diet and medication. If anybody wants to share his/her experiences with this product or more elaborate research on this product, please feel free to do so.

I agree. There are a lot of promises told to users with regards to herbals being miracle cures - promises that are more often not met than met. Having said that, i am afraid that it destroys the reputation of those that really has "effect" i am not saying which or what products - because i know there are a number out there. I just want to point out that we be careful of what we choose to take and, of course, keeping an open mind about alternative medications - not really shutting them out. But also be cautious, if you do plan on taking them ask for your doctors advice first (sad to say, that most doctors are not into this but if you have a doc that is open minded good for you); because there might be unwanted effects should your medicine be taken together with these "naturals". I guess all i am saying is be informed before taking anything make your research first.

Well after reading, I too have doubts that it will have much affect on any type of diabetic.
