Default Health product to help

My doc told me as I get older it'll get harder to keep my bg level in check. I stopped in at a health store in town today and they have a few products they say will help regulate blood sugar. But they also want to sell me something. So I am a skeptic who would like to find some natural approach to this condition even if it meant I still had to take pills but could maybe take less of them.

Does such a thing exist? Are these products a load of bs? If anyone has found a natural way to deal with t2 diabetes, I'd love to hear it!

Thanks

I also have tried to find products to help with diabetes , and depending on who you talk with , there are many cliams .
I was told GINKGO would help with circulation of the blood and that many diabetics take this . I used it for about a month but felt no improvement in the pain i feel in my feet . I didnt moniter my BS readings to see if it help level them out , I was just interested in pain relief at that time .

I talked to one person another forum who claims that his BG drops 30-40 points in an hour if he drinks apple cider vinegar. I tried apple cider vinegar once to lower my BG and didn't notice a difference one way or another.

Lately, I have been incorporating flax meal into my diet for cholesterol reasons. Plus, flax makes great muffins and pancakes. When I eat flax, my blood sugar plummets. Before dinner tonight, I was 84. I had a flax waffle (butter and sugar free syrup on top) with two eggs. Two hours after dinner, I was 60. Two days ago I had a waffle and egg for lunch and I was 52 before dinner. A few nights before that I had the same for dinner and I was 72 afterward. I have asked other diabetics and they say that flax doesn't lower their BGs or make them hypo, but flax has a very strong effect on me. Who knows!

I've heard the vinegar thing but never tried it. I put flax seed into the bread I make but I only eat one piece of bread per day, at breakfast. So maybe I am not getting enough. So far it has not made a difference for me...

Thanks for your reply.

Lightbulb Exercise.

I have been reading this thread and just interesting to note that to get better control is to look at the raw ingredients to make it work but then if we say we take the so called tabs for a good period may have some benefit. But the instant results is exercise as this will make the BG fall and please take some fast carbs with you if the case arises to a low. I'm sorry guys, Exercise is the answer.

I agree exercise is great and sure does help with bg levels. I live in Ontario, Canada and in the good weather my dog and I walk about 2 miles down our dirt road and back several times a week. It's good for both of us! We cant do that in the winter, so I am going to buy an exercise bike.
