IS IT RIGHT TREATMENT?
If the prostate cancer is detected in the early stages then it can be treated fully by prostectomy. Laproscopy is also favoured, in this nerve sparing surgery is done which involves removal of affected prostate gland which don’t even effects mens sexual life. However due to recent advancements in medical and technological field prostate cancer can now be treated in every stage by radiation therapy.

My prostate cancer was diagnosed in August, 2002. It was found very early and radiation was all that was necessary. There were some very unpleasant after effects but by late 2004 I had no more problems. My PSA counts have been exceptionally low since the radiation was completed. All men ages 40 or older should have annual PSA tests done (a simple blood test). Some men in their early 40s have been found to have prostate cancer.
