You don't "cure" it, you manage it with diet, exercise and medication.

As Diana said... there is no cure for diabetes in the strict sense. Once you have diabetes you will never be able to eat the same way or be totally off medication if you are on medication without it getting worse.

I had my BG at 396 in April and now its 75 consistently . I am on no medication however I am not cured. I have it totally under control and I manage it so its not an issue for my body but i'm not cured.

I use 'natural remedies' to manage my diabetes. I totally changed the way I eat and I exercise which contributes to keeping it under control. That is all 'natural' to me.

It is wishful thinking that one can take an herbal and have T2 diabetes cured. Unfortunately, there are many charlatans out there in the internet who will sell you something they claim to cure diabetes. The only one who benefits is the one who is selling the product. Save your money.

Stick around on this forum and discover what really does work. No magic pill, but a concerted effort to make changes to diet and lifestyle that will allow one to manage the condition.

Claims for 'natural remedies' for most illnesses are snake oil salesman. You cannot cure diabetes. It is either managed or unmanaged. Remission is the best you can expect.

If there was a bottled over-the-counter cure for Type 2 diabetes...it would be stacked at the checkout counter at every supermarket on the planet right next to the gum and the candy bars with a flashing blue light over it.

Of course I believe personally t2 is curable and reversable. As a rule when we say as a majority we can only manage it with exercise, diet, and meds, we have given up and forgot that we should of been doing before problems started to occur.. Before u became t2 if u were not eating all the bad carbs, processed foods, pretty much any food that u bury and in a few months it does not rot it is not food. Given that and u were exercising, I would say there was and is a slim chance of u ever becoming a t2. U are able to make insulin so u just need to stop with the carbs, exercise and u wont need meds anymore. I dont call it managing, more like what we and our body wanted from the day were born. I am t1 and I have not taken insulin in a month, its ok to try.

I'd be interested in your definition of Type 1 diabetes. It seems the general consensus throughout the medical community is that a Type 1 is "insulin dependent".

I would agree, because I was insulin dependent for 7+ years until I felt like everything can heal. Careful because there are some that say needing insulin does not define t1. I disagree. I am on no honeymoon after 8 yrs, I cant explain why I am able and the next t1 cant eat a egg without spiking. I also am going to get them 2 test done to reafirm or neglet my t1 status. If this dont work, I will try another eating lifestyle change. But I will say if I fail, for 30+ days its been great not to take insulin 5 times a day. Plus I have my cals in today and I am at 114, so I will survive another day without insulin.
