Default Pump injection site rotation

Does anyone have any ideas or Websites that show a easy rotation of sites. I usually go right love handle to left butt to left love handle to right butt. I would like to use approx 4 more location.

Hello there. Welcome!

Here are a couple suggestions of site rotations for pumpers. Others may give you their own preferences.

That's a great site. It's now in my favorites.

You're Welcome John. Glad to help. I've had a Bad experience with Lipotrophy years ago because I did not rotate my injections enough. As you know, having different choices of rotation plans are Very important whether by syringe/pen or by pump injections. Many Diabetics understandably, tend to stay with their favourte sites which usually ends in Bad damage.

This is probably a crazy question...but here goes... Do I have to stick to just my abdomen or hip? My thighs dont really have much fat on them, but goodness knows I have plenty of other fat layer to choose from! Am I understanding correctly that pretty much any place I can "pinch an inch" is fair game?

Pam, I have seen many people who use the "pinch an inch" idea. I limit myself to body parts where I have the MOST body fat. The better the absorption, the better the control. As long as there is an adequate amount of site rotation, and the absorption is good, the blood sugar levels should be stable.

Ho do you like the Revel pump at this stage? How long have you used it?

I LOVE this pump! I have been using it now for three weeks and I am in better control that I have been in years! They had me wear a CGM for 5 days last week to check my basal rates and meal time BGs...also to see if I am using the double wave correctly. She said I was her new "poster child" for how well a pump can work for a completely out of control T2 My range for the whole time was 60-127.

that is a very good range Pam. My range is 60-140 about 90% of the time. I occasionally forget to bolusuntil an hour or more after a meal, or I hit scar tissue with my infusion site. Then I get numbers 150-200 before I realize what has happened.

Thanks...I was really happy with it Not too bad for someone that was averaging 350-400 just 4 months ago I put it through the true test this afternoon...I just had chicken scallopini with angel hair at Carino's for lunch. If I am still conscious in a coupe of hours I will see how well I calculated everything
