Hello everyone. This is my first post.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last December and have been doing pretty good at improving those pesky numbers until I decided to retire on April 6 2009.

My doctor has me on the South Beach diet (have lost about 20 pounds) and Metformin. I was doing pretty good with a regular routine for eating and exercising. Who knew that retiring would throw that all out of kilter?

I am determined to get back on track. Joining this group is a first step toward that goal.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Karolyn
