Default Newbie!

Hi Folks-

I was searching around this week to find a support system for my new and exciting diagnosis and I came across this forum. I am glad I found you all.

I was put on meds three months ago because of a concern of pre-diabetes. Went in for another blood test and everything looked worse. So here I am with a diagnosis of Type-2. Still in a little state of shock, but willing to do whatever is needed to stay healthy. I am a mother of a young child and I want to make sure I am healthy and present for him.

Currently I am reading all I can (bought a few books) to have a better understanding of what is going on. I am struggling with figuring out what to eat. At this point, I feel really nervous about introducing new foods in.
