Default natural products

I'm new here and am trying to find out as much as I can about diabetes and things that can help it. I'm interested in natural products. Does anyone know of some natural products that are working for them?

Thanks,
Marla

Hi Marla:

Welcome to our Forum. In answer to your question, I've been on
other sites and talked to many Diabetics through the years who
have tried various products. Unfortunately, I haven't heard of a
natural product yet that keeps a Person's sugar level under control.

Some People say a teaspoon of cinnamon sprinkled on their foods
2 times a day helps, or some say 2 teaspoons of vinegar before they
eat their meal helps. Others say neither works. Actually, I looked into
the cinnamon choice on the net. The cinnamon has to be grown, I
believe in India because they supposedly have the proper soil there to
insure the proper growth of cinnamon for medicinal purposes. If I remember correctly, it is the root they use and it is sold in the health food stores in North America.

I certainly cannot say that any of these or other products work to any
degree since none have been proven. It would be Great if something
natural could be used to keep blood sugar levels in a consistantly good
range.

I take it that you are a Type 2 or are concerned about someone with
Type 2. The only "natural" product known to be used for People with
Type 1/Type 1.5/some Type 2's is Insulin, as you know.

Exercise and some low carb/smaller portion foods still seems to work the
best for many Diabetes patients.
