Diabetic Type: 2
Meds: Metformin - 1500mg daily
Last A1c - 5.9 (11-07)

Other Dxd: Graves' Disease 3/1995
(Irradiated Thyroid 10/95) Must take
synthetic thyroid medication for the
rest of my life.

Note: I always have my A1c and TSH
(Thyroid-Stimulating Hormones) levels
taken at the same time, since,
my TSH levels can affect my A1c.

Your experiences with diabetes:: I am a Type 2 Diabetic, diagnosed in 2/2007, with a Thyroid disorder. I was dxd with Graves' Disease in 3/1995 and finally had my thyroid irradiated in 10/1995. I am currently on Metformin 1500 mg daily and my BG levels are good, except when I eat wrong, just like any other Diabetic. My last A1c was 5.9.
