Biography:: I am a 53 year-old type 1 diabetic. I am a sales assistant at a newspaper in Raleigh, NC. My two dogs are my hobby. I am married to a wonderful man.

On the internet:: I don't visit diabetes websites, but need to in the future.
Your experiences with diabetes:: I have been diabetic since I was 21. I had NLD in 1984, but have no problems with it now except for the scars on my shins. I had 2 stints inserted in my heart in May 2007. I am trying to control my BS levels better because my most recent blood tests indicate that my levels are terrible. I ignore my diabetes and will continue to suffer the consequences unless I take control. I have a wonderfull endocrinologist and GP that are trying to help right now. I am going to classes in January to see about getting a pump and how it is to deal with a pump.
