Default Neuropathy foot wear-care

So I grind on into my second year of actually dealing with the D and the damage done. I've just lost 10lbs and another 10lbs to go in the short term plan.

To get to that next 10lbs and improve everything in general I need to up the exercise. And I am motivated and ready to go go go. In fact if my feet were normal I'd be a hiking - walking - workout fool. But I'm cautious and a bit concerned about my feet. My day job has me walking a fair amount over a large school campus. And they fluctuate all day long from sort of "OK" to - annoying to - too warm - toes unhappy - back to "OK". To complicate things I've got very narrow feet and shoes have always been a poor fit --- and I've never had foot issues in the past I would just abuse the heck out of them. When I get home my feet are a bit sore and pooped.

So do those of you in this area use special shoes - inserts - do you have a podiatrist ? I've got to stay active for several more years at least. And I have to say that compared to a year ago my feet are much better - no near crippling shooting pains and wild temperature swings. The benfotiamine keeps the symptoms largely at bay.

My podiatrist gave me these inserts. They are extremely comfortable and have helped with keeping my feet from getting tired.
