CD, I am so glad that you're doing okay. This thread started just before I went to bed and I was thinking about you all night. I hope that it continues to relieve itself throughout the day and still hope you'll get it checked out.

CD, read your post right now. Seems you are feeling better, but of course it´s possible to contact the health authorities around the clock. For advice call 1177 "Sjukvårdsrådgivningen". An experienced nurse will answer and listen to you and give advice and of course there is also emergency call 112. Glad you feel better.

CD, so glad you are feeling better. Pains at anytime can be scary buy in the middle of the night are even worse. About 15 years ago I woke up in the early AM with a pain in my side that just got worse as time went on and finally went to the ER and passed a kidney stone. I hope you continue to do well.

Hans, I'm so glad you have provided this number for CD. It was the Australian Nurse On Call that I phoned yesterday for him.

Freya, kind of you to call so far away. 1177 is a national number - all health care regions in Sweden cooperating in a network with nurses at hand in every region. I have called them myself when I had my weak legs and was given the advice to immediately visit the emergency. I did it the following day and two days later I got my Borreliosis diagnosis. So their advice can help.

Yes, it's a great service isn't it, as you have discovered yourself - sometimes we can be unsure of what's going on and it's good to be able to talk to someone and get advice, particularly at night when pain and anxiety can be heightened.

I just got on and read all of this. I, for one, won't be happy until you've gotten medical attention and have gotten the 'all clear' and tell us about it.

Hans, thanks for that info! I will obviously put it to good use. Today was rather uneventful except for a lingering bit of nausea but my walk went great and I felt fine afterwards.

If I don't say it ofter enough, let me stress this next point now and strongly! The international make-up of this forum is what makes it so special and last night's episode was a perfect case-in-point. When I posted about my episode, Freya was right there with helpful advice within minutes. It helped tremendously Freya and I want you to know I appreciate it. And this doesn't even touch upon all the others that chimed in and helped with support and advice. I love you all! (Don't let that go to your heads! )

Ok, ok, but just this once!
