WOW totally MISSED this thread!!!

So I love you all MORE!

Between joining a pumping group for my specific pump -- and it is VERY BUSY!!! And having to do online learning before training, AND having 2 kiddoes in a swim meet all weekend .... forgive me! AND did I omit my daughter's IEP meeting, Friday ... always a stressor.

HUGS!!! Dude, so relieved you are OKAY!!!

Boy, I am right there with you on the IEP meetings. Unreal, ridiculous amounts of stress.

This one was almost funny ... we got the input we needed, but I went prepared to advocate for my child ... to get her OUT of mainstream PE. Documentation, a letter from her OT, etc etc etc. Well they had HER attend the meeting ... and she announced she WANTS mainstream PE. Poof! So much for that ... okay then. Anyhow my (LENGTHY) remarks are in her IEP, in the "Parental concerns" section. So if the same carp comes up next yr, we have mentioned this, BEFORE.

Took an extra year off my life, though ...

Tell me about it. I've been through similar situations with my son and his reading disability. He's in LD for math, reading, and writing and was born speech impaired. I actually walked out of one of his IEP meetings.

And so is my girl who is abt to turn 13 ... she has a birth injury, autism spectrum disorder ... and is at the 90th %ile in math, proficient in all else, but cannot write, or analyze, worth a darn.
