Thanks Wally! Yeah this forum makes me feel like this disease isn't completely hopeless to treat. This forum literally saved my life and I can't tell you how thankful I am for that.

Hell that practically makes you family in my opinion. In the military, anyone who was willing to stand by your side and fight with you, protect you, and/or die for you was your family...not that I expect anyone to die for me but you guys sure did turn my diabetes to the right direction

I'm doing okay Justin.

I spent some time today reading all the way through Hans' thread again (Shanny gave you the links) re his journey with Borrelliosis and you know Justin I think this might be something to consider in your case.

Have you had a chance to read it yet? Be aware that Hans starts posting in the first listed thread before beginning his own.

Keep your chin up Buddy

I'm trying Freya it's just hard when it seems like your body is failing you despite your best efforts you know?

Yeah I read it and studied up on it. I'm going to have to force the issue with the va to get this done though..bureaucracy...gotta hate it.

Justin, missed this thread. Really hope you will get better. Saw that there were links to my borreliosis threads. They ought to have checked borreliosis if you had a spinal test, but you can ask the doctors. Personally I had two such tests. I´m almost totally recovered now. A rarely notable weakness and I can run slowly. Once again - really hope you will get better. Fingers crossed.

Thank you hans. I'll get with the hospital to release my records for the hospital visit (need to do that anyways) and I'll look it over and check for the tests run on my spinal fluid from my LP. They wanted to do a CSP (Cervical Spinal Puncture) but I told them I wasn't going to have that done because it was WAY too risky. I wasn't risking paralysis or heart failure because they wanted to do a test.

Justin, hope you get a real thorough examination. I can understand that you do not want to do a risky CSP. When I had my second spinal test the doctor was fumbling and had to start all over again. Usually I am quite calm when they do all kinds of strange tests, but I did not like to have a needle in my spine.

I also had another test. Lots of needles in my hands, arms and legs, then electricity to see the condition of the nerve impulses. Gradually higher voltage. Obviously it´s possible to see the condition of the nerve impulses. Why not ask for that examination? Parts of the signals in some of my muscle groups were very bad others were normal. Really hope you will get a adequate diagnosis so you can obtain the right kind of treatment and rehab.

Ah you must be talking about an EMG. Yeah...I was told I needed that test but when dealing with the VA it isn't really an option to "request" treatment. They have to be idiots most the time and bureaucratic all the time when it comes to your care.

Meaning it could be months before I even SEE an EMG...
