Angry Toooo much hunger in the night

I was diagnosed 4 years ago for type II diabetics and Hypertension.
And doctor put me to Glimstar M1 SR(Metaformin Hydrochoride 500mg+ Glimipride 1 mg) and Tenoric LD(Atenlol 25mg and Chlorthalidane 6.5mg) for BP. Then my BP and Sugar controlled but my hunger and also every 4 hours my sugar drops to 60.
Then the doctor put me to GLYCIPHAGE SR 500 mg(Metaformin Hydrochoride 500mg only). It worked very well for my blood sugar. But my hunger after every 4 hours continued. Irrespective of day or night I have to get up and eat very heavy meal.
I consulted different doctors after that they put me to ZITA-MET 50/500mg( sitagliptin phosphate monohydrate and metaformin hydrochloride. This increased my BP also severe head ache and hunger.
Then again another doctor suggested banned drug Gluconorm p30 (Metaformin Hydrochoride 500mg and pioglitazone hydrochloride 30mg). Sugar dropped considerably PP 90. And too much hunger and head ache continues.
What my common sense suggests is if I get an alternate for Metaformin Hydrochoride 500mg SR my problem will be solved. Can anyone in the form suggest me a medicine. I feed up going to doctors they are giving me now sleeping pills and head-ache medication for my diabetic medicine problem.

Stop looking for a magic pill and start eating low-carb/high-fat meals. Those 'heavy' meals are what is making you hungry all the time. Once you stop eating bread, rice, root vegetables, and increase your intake of meat/poultry/fish (unless you're vegetarian), dark leafy greens, full fat cheeses, eggs, tree nuts & other low-carb foods, and start replacing the carbs with natural fats like ghee, coconut oil, olives/olive oil, your hunger will diminish and your blood sugar will drop and stabilize.

"Very healthy foods" for DIABETICS eliminates as many carbs as possible. I eat 30 or less grams of carbs per day. There are many fats you can eat as a vegetarian. There are several successful vegetarians on this forum. What form of vegetarian are you? Do you eat eggs and dairy? What do you eat that has carbs that you are not willing to give up to save your life? Sorry about being brutally honest.

There is no pill that will bring your BG down while eating high levels of carbs. And its the carbs that are making you hungry. They are digested quickly. Then, some of the pills you are taking are forcing your pancreas to put out insulin randomly - so the glucose is being removed from your bloodstream, which is sending out signals that you need to eat again.

You can't have your carbs and control diabetes, too. Even if you were to take insulin to cover the carbs, it'd have to be such large amounts your insulin resistance would get worse and you'd need more and more insulin - with added weight gain.

Sorry, I'm sure these are not the answers you were looking for. But they are the truth.

Get off the grim Glim (S/Us are tough on your pancreas)! Lowering your carbohydrate intake will permit that and you will feel much better.

Two things make me out-of-control hungry, too much carb and not enough fat. "Healthy" foods for most people are poison for diabetics. It felt very strange, even surreal, at first, but now I know what works because I use my meter to check my body's reaction to everything I eat.

Agreeing with others!
The metformin by itself would actually be the only mediaction not harmful to you.
Go ahead and get off medication.
Try eating less rice/potatoes/bread.
Test your sugar right before you eat, then 1h and 2h after you eat.
Your Bg needs to be below 140 at all times.
Is it there?
If not, then cut your starches and sugars even more and increase your fats even more until you get those readings under 140.
Good luck!

Thanks a lot for the replys. I never know such a great and helpful form exits.

I used to eat 8 Rote(Indian Bread) because of hunger. Yesterday I eat 4 Roti and salad+ a bowl full of SOYA chunks sabji in the night before going to bed. My hunger duration increased from 4 hours to 6 hours.

I don't eat eags, meat, fish. I cannot give up roti,if I give up I start low sugar and sheveing. I eat everything else. but Because of my Blood pressure, I drink cow milk after removing the cream.
My diet in the morning 6.AM and 6.PM skimmed milk +ots+nuts+papita/banana.
My dieat at other times 10 A.M,3 P.M, 11 P.M is 4 Roti(NOW) + soya sabji+salad.

My doctor yesterday prescribed me to take metformin hydrochloride 500 mg SR in the morning and Pioglitazone hydrochloride 15mg in the afternoon.
My glucose is perfectly controlled with metformin hydrochloride 500 mg SR alone. This drug Pioglitazone hydrochloride 15mg can control excess hunger or not? Is Pioglitazone hydrochloride 15mg is it banned drug or not?. Somewhere in the web I had seen this drug as banned that is why I am asking this question.
