A bit more information would be helpful for us to give an opinion.
Like, what are your morning fasting BG, your post-meal numbers

Your signature says you eat a LCHF diet - can you tell us how many carbs you eat daily. Since you take Novolog twice a day, I assume you are not needing to bolus insulin for your meals?

About a T2 "turning into" a T1 - doesn't happen. T1 is the result of an autoimmune disease. T2 is the result of insulin resistance and possibly less insulin production. What is going on that makes you question your diagnosis?

Your normal numbers feel like lows because you've been running so high for so many years.

VeeJay is right - type 2 diabetics do not turn into type 1 for exactly the reasons she explained. If there's some doubt about your diagnosis, then you need to be tested for GAD autoimmune antibodies and c-peptide.

And just because we're such a nosy bunch, what ARE your recent numbers and what are you doing that has lowered them so much?

Yes, its been awile, But my numbers never go over 140_ which to me is great ! Since I was in 400-600 last years .... I have lost about 59 lpds, drink diet drinks, and I even have reg ice cream after dinner sometimes. With No effects on my numbers , But I can not get rid of what I thouht were high sugar side effects '. I have dandruff, have been using head and sholdets shampoo. Tried Listerine and gonna try coconut oil tonight. And I have neropathy in my feet. Which the Dr gives me lyrics for. It works, but I don't like taking a lot, makes me feel weird. I have a small hernia I need to have recheacked now that I have lost the weight. And also. Recto. Displacing ? And only a tummy tuck can fix that , which ofcorse my insurance will not cover . I only have fat on my stop.ACH, and its mostly loose skin. And I can't get rid of it. : ( my main problem. Right now is the dandruff. I hate it !! And don't know how to make it go away ... ???

If you have dry skin on other parts of your body, it may be nothing more than dry skin. If that seems unlikely, you should prob'ly mention it to your doctor and get checked for psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis or other common causes. I doubt it's related to your diabetes.

O and I learned for me the medicine didn't help at all, what worked was excersise and water . low carb. And diet soda. The insulin was a quick fix, but wore off and my numbers stayed high until I started loosing weight, moving more just walking up and down hallway a lot. Putting stuff up one at a time. Anything to get me to move more .... That is what made my numbers go lower and stay low !!! Not the medicine, I still take 1000 mil of metformin every am. But have stopped all injections and any other meds .... Still 140 is as high as I ever get ...
