Default is it for forever ?

Hi good people out there ...

i was dx type 2, 3 months ago.i am taking metformin 500mg, acarbose 25 mg and glidazide 80 mg twice a day. my a1c is 6.3(checked last week).

my problem is burning sensation in my feet.because of that i can't sleep at night and can't even go to work.i checked my vit b12 and it is ok. after that my doc gave me pregabalin 75 mg a day.after using prgalin for 2 day ,my burning sensation has gone a little but not completly and i still can't sleep well. i am scared if this problem might lead to some kind of very bad result.

is there anybody who had same problem and fixed it for forever ?
pls help.

Thanks in advance,
29 years old male..

It's impossible to give you a simple yes or no to this.

As your blood glucose control improves, so should the neuropathy to some degree. How much it improves depends on many things, including the underlying damage that has already been done.

Sounds like some sort of neuropathy. As said above as your bgs begin to lower some of it may clear up. I had some neuropathy before my D dx but as I got my bgs closer to 100 most of it went away. I do notice when my bgs rise above 120 it sometimes returns. Many D's take ALA and Evening Primrose.

Also you may want to see a Podiatrist to see if the burning in the feet comes from something else. I have chronic Plantar Faschitis which causes inflammation under my arch and heel. Wearing a good orthodic in my sneakers alleviates a lot of the pain.

MCS and uttam like this.

Again it as the people above has said, but with you being 29 years old my guess would be you will be able to turn this a round.Your doc should be able to help you out.

Check you vitamin D level as well, some recent studies and persona lexperience are linking low Vit D levels with neuropathies. And if you haven;t already, see a neurologist.
