Default Complications - Caronavirus Deaths

A rather morbid thread but of those people who have died from the corona virus I wonder how many had comprised immune systems because of living with Type 1 or 2 Diabetes.

I hope no one but it would be a relevant data to have.

Stay healthy everyone!

Don't know if that info has been assimilated or not, but it does seem we may be more susceptible than non-diabetics. This article says we are. Men moreso than women even.

Here is another article that says don't panic.

Here is another article that does say some were diabetics.

Think I've had this since 2003. Told I was Type 2 lean on 2/13/12.

I was listening to some infectious disease experts on the radio and the topic of vulnerability took up a bulk of the program. Interestingly, kids seemed least vulnerable. Of the (numbers are best recall) approx 77K cases, only 300 or so were kids <10 yo. And of those, zero deaths. From 10-17 yo (again approx) there were about 400 cases and one death. They have no idea why and they said there is not enough trusted data to get a sense of who the most vulnerable are and is what they are of course most anxious to determine.

I guess my Mom and I both have compromised immune systems because of the diabetes, but Mom more so because of her age (she's 80) and she's had a previous stroke/aneurysm. But who really knows for sure?
