Default What do you eat for snacks?

Because other threads relative to our snacking habits have focused on snacks that are quite high-carb for many of us, we will be using this thread to suggest low or zero-carb snacks that we rely upon.

Some of my own favorites are deviled eggs (about 1g of carb for both halves) and naked hot wings (zero carbs), as well as full-fat cheeses and beef sticks like slim jims. Check labels for carb content.

And because I 'unstuck' this previous thread, I'm giving you this link so you may bookmark it yourself for easy access.

Usually if I want to snack on something I have a couple of buffalowings, some raw vegetables, salad, leftovers from dinner or I just fry some cheese with spices or herbs.
I always have something easy to grab if I feel for snacking.

I'm odd in that my "snacks" are usually just small meals. When I do have something that's not pre-prepared by me, it'll usually be a pepperoni stick and cheese. Watch pepperoni though, much of it has several grams of wheat flour as a binder/filler.

As of Apr 23, 2013: 14-day Avg Fasting BG: 4.7 (85), A1c (Dec21): 5.1%, Stats: 230lb, 6'3" now with 37" waist

Low-Carb (Usually < 45-60g per day on a 3,000+ calories daily diet)

On Metformin only for meds. Exercise 6 days a week.
Supplement only with: Men's Multi-Vitamin, Vitamin D 2000iu/day, Aspirin 81mg, Cinnamon Extract and Fish Oil all 1x per day

I like celery sticks filled with either cream cheese or almond butter or even sunflower butter.

If all else is gone I'm not against a big spoonful of peanut butter.

Kerigold cheese, with some sweetener and pecans or almonds in it.
Home made Taco chips
Control is with Diet modification, exercise, supps.
A1C, Dxed 11, 5.6, 4.8, 4.6

Last night I had an ounce (29g) of sharp white cheddar cheese and 1/2 ounce (15g) dry roasted sunflower kernels. Same as the night before.

Feta and olives.

Walnuts. Sometimes sauteed with seasonings -- salty or sweet.

Maybe I am turning Greek ... after the debilitating stomach flu, I am mostly hungry for SALTY stuff, in tiny amounts.

@Strawberry, I took your snack idea tonight and ate celery sticks and cream cheese for my low carb snack tonight because I was hungry and needed something that wouldn't make my very awesome, for me, numbers rise! Thanks for the idea.
