Almond flour - How do you determine if it has gone bad?

I've never had it long enough for it to go bad. I guess it'd be the the oils in the nuts that would go rancid and taste "off"

I take great pains to ensure that my almond flour stores well. I only order on-line during cooler months so it won't sit in a hot warehouse or hot truck. I keep a supply in the refrigerator for immediate use, and the extra is stored in my freezer.

During the winter when the temps are freezing, I have stored unopened bags on my back porch when my freezer was full.
