I am still counting calories, fat, carbs and protein. I've kept daily KR between 1.7 and 2 for the last week with carb counts from 15-35.

I posted this in the wrong place earlier, my bad. Would this be correct in a meal calculation? I see people say they shoot for this or that for the day so I am trying to figure out my number. So much to learn ugh but I want to get it right!

2 eggs 1.2
2 egg whites 0.6
3 strips bacon 0
2 patties sausage 2.0
So the total for breakfast would be 3.8 carbs?

Still new to this so trying to figure how to input it correctly here.

When things went to hell for me in March 2012 I went on a super low carb high protein diet. Was spreadsheeting meals etc. A1C was almost 9. Did a lot of testing and I felt the diet was not sustainable. It did get me down to a A1C of 5.9.

I've stopped counting carbs the past 6 months and have largely dialed in some low carb high protein breakfasts and lunches. Dinners are higher protein low carb affairs and I normally test post dinner between 100 to 130-ish. After a heary serving of Pork and Poblano stew tonight my post meal BS was 110.

But I now believe I need to start counting carbs again along with loosing 20lbs (to hit 200lbs -- I'm 6' 2") and exercising to get below 5.5 on the A1C.

Dairy Queen remains my arch enemy ....

I was on metformin 2000 mg at first, and when my bg wasn't coming down <200 at urgent care they added glipizide. My endo wanted me off it - so once my numbers got into the low 100's I just quit and told him about it later. He didn't freak is all I can say

My numbers definitely ticked up, but not >200 any longer. I hung w/ low-carb and they went back down.

Shanny, MAO and Mary, like this.

How could a person eat a teaspoon of white pepper. 1/4 teaspoon would make a dish very spicy. And that would be only 2gms of carbs.
