Default Need Suggestions in Low Carb high Calorie Diet

Hi

I wanted to share one concern here. Actually i m having hard time in finding foods which are high in Calorie and low in carbs. As according to my age, height and physical activity, dietician has suggested me to have 3500-4000 Kcal per day. But i am not bale to achieve that. Due to this i am losing weight. Right now i have perfect weight. dont want to lose more. Can u please suggest something.

Thanks
Varun

i wish i could have 4000 calories! i can have only about 1200 eggs is my favorite. paneer is a good idea too. top everything with butter and cheese. i usually have 1 bread with a 2 egg bhurji. u can make it 3 egg or maybe even 4. how about keeping bolied eggs in fridge? eat one whenever you get the hunger pangs. chilli paneer? i love chinese chilli paneer. go low on sauces (or rather check if they suit u)

Fats have 9 cal/gm as compared to 4cal/gm from Carbs or Proteins. So add fats to your diet.

Don't listen to "someone", listen only to your meter.

You can have ghee. It's just clarified butter. I cook with it everyday.

It will be fine to have that much fat, as long as you are limiting your carbs strictly. It will be very good for you and not at all detrimental. A good ratio for tight control is to eat 85-90% of total calories for fats; 10-15% for protein and only 5% for carbs.

My husband had a problem with being overweight until we started eating lc/hf. He now has the opposite problem. When he wants to gain pounds back, I give him more of the high calorie low-carb foods like cream cheese and heavy cream in the form of gravy, cheesecake, cake and donuts with cream cheese frosting, and veggies in a cheese sauce made with heavy cream.

We did something similar with my husband, and it worked really well. He wanted to start eating LCHF to lose weight, but he had a really big appetite (since he was a kid). Anyway, we replaced the high carb "stuff" (ahem), with LC foods, but plenty of them, making sure they were calorie heavy. We also went heavy on the LC sauces, creams, and cheeses for a while, to keep his calorie count high.
