This is interesting. A kitchen tool that makes long pasta-type strings (zoodles) from raw veggies. There are plenty of pics, so be sure to scroll down.

Zoodles

I bought this one on Amazon :
Paderno World Cuisine A4982799 Tri-Blade Plastic Spiral Vegetable Slicer : Amazon.com : Kitchen & Dining

It's horizontal but works the same. It comes with three blades and works quite well.

I've been using a GEFU but it takes a bit of muscle and there is a fair bit of waste. I've looked on the Australian sites and the Benriner Vertical Turning Slicer is currently out so stock so I've put in a back order for one. Thanks for bringing this to our attention Gizmo.

This is the one I bought over the summer. We have used it to make zucchini spaghetti a few times and loved it. So much better than miracle noodles! I use one zucchini per person as the "noodles" shrink in proportion quite a bit once cooked.

And do you cook it the same as in the recipe given Canadiandude?

I can already see myself making fried veggie curly fries with it.

I bought this also on Amazon and I love it! But I also tried some crumbled cauliflower one night microwaved with butter and garlic and some pasta sauce and it actually tasted better than most of the gluten free pastas from my "pre-low carb" days.
