Filtered chilled water, occasionally sparkling water, decaf coffee (since caffeine spikes me), herbal teas, wine, and spirits. Oh, and sometimes a little glass of fresh cream, although I think of that more as dessert than "drinking."

HF/LC, no meds for now

I thoroughly enjoyed crystal light lemonade. I love the taste! It's as good as regular lemonade. As far as I know it has never raise my blood sugar however I always add a liberal amount of vodka or tequila. Heh!!!

bugg :-) also delicious with a squirt of lime and a touch of salt

I buy 2 x 1.25 Litres of Diet Natural Mineral Water that has a dash of flavour in it - for e.g. Orange Juice - each week. To my daily 8 or more glasses of water I add a tad of this and find that it just lifts the taste of plain water.

I drink coffee in the a.m. and tea in the p.m.

A cream smoothie with no sugar flavourings is an occasional treat.

Trying to find a thirst quenching drink (in Australia) has been really difficult for me. I can't stand the awful after taste of artificial sweeteners so anything 'diet' is out.

I've tried lemon juice in water but real lemons hurt my teeth after a few days. I've tried herbal tea, cold herbal tea in sparkling water sweetened with Natvia (stevia and E).

Finally our supermarket shelves have something new. I almost got down on my knees and praised the Lord when I found it. It's a flavoured mineral water sweetened with 50% stevia and the rest is sugar. About 12g carbs per serve. It's not perfect by a long shot, having sugar in it but I use it like cordial. I pour just enough in a tall glass and fill the rest with sparkling water and lots of ice. On a hot day it hits the spot. I allow myself 2 glasses a day when it's warm so I'm having a total of half a serve if that. Just knowing I can have a 'soda' on a hot day makes me feel normal.

I feel I can 'cheat' a little because my BG is down to 4.7 from 6.5.
