Default How many eggs do you eat each week?

Eggs are mentioned so many times in so many posts here I decided to post this friendly poll. I average two whole shell eggs per day so my consumption is at least 14 a week (I'm not counting egg-containing recipes, but if you know that by all means include it).

Happy new year to all and I wish you another year of successful control of your blood glucose levels.

Really have no idea how many we use each day, but it's a lot. We have to keep a couple dozen (fresh) in the fridge at all times, or we're apt to run out. In addition to fresh, there's the jar of hard-cooked ones and sometimes a plate of deviled ones too. Eggs & avocados - the perfect diabetes foods!

I used to go through over a dozen a week, just for myself. Deviled eggs were a staple! Then I found out that egg whites give me heartburn so I've cut back and miss them terribly...

I eat about 35 eggs per week. I have a flock of about 123 hens and 7 roosters so I have plenty of free range eggs to eat. Half of my flock though are about 4 years old so I'm not getting the several dozen eggs every day I used too.

(and I can't bring myself to 'thin the herd' because the damn things are more pets than livestock! I eat a lot of chicken... but can't eat my own pets...err chickens)

I've never really paid attention, but I'd say it's a lot. 2+ dozen per week, perhaps. I've been having eggs almost every morning for breakfast, lately and plan on hard-boiling a big batch to go as side dishes with meals this coming week.

This has me psyched to update my profile picture, but as you see at left it's not pretty nor is it egg-zact. Thanks to all who vote on this poll that remains open now.
