Default Digestive Enzymes

I was having some issues with gas at night. At first I thought I was getting sensitive to Metformin with my evening meal. But then I was reading that people with any kind of pancreatic issues may also have issues with not enough digestive enzymes.

So now I take one digestive enzyme pill with supper and no more gas! It's a pill that covers all the enzymes.

Just FYI for others who may be experiencing this.

Daytona and milkmaade like this.

Because I go through times when my digestion is off (IBS?), I have started taking a digestive enzyme myself with meals. If I take my enzyme, it definitely helps cut down on the gas and bloating, and the nauseous feelings I sometimes get. I read a few articles that stated as we age, we should take enzymes because we tend to not have as many? Perhaps that's what I remember, but in any case, as we age our systems just don't work like they used to. I use a Super Enzyme made by NOW brand (I ordered online). It is not a chewable, but I just take it right before or right after a meal (If I forget to take it before). I've also bought some Oil of Oregano which helps a world of ailments. But, I will warn you, it tastes terrible! But, it does work, so I keep the tincture on hand.

Metformin - 2000 mg daily
Humulog - on a PING Pump now...
Zoloft - 100 mg
Milk Thistle
Alpha Lipoic Acid
GTF Chromium
Fish Oil - 4 grams a day
Vitamin D3 - 5000 iu daily
81 mg aspirin daily
