Default Bad breath question

I have been in deep ketosis for a while now. I read around 4-5 on blood ketones when I check each week and stay in dark purple on stix. I've also had a lot of digestive problems lately because of everything. My breath is horrible! I hate chewing SF mints or gum all of the time. My BH says that my breath smells like acetone and comments that it is really strong.

Does anyone have any remedies for bad breath that would help? I am so afraid to talk to anyone (friends, clients, etc.) because I don't want them to think I don't brush my teeth or something! (Honest, I do ... I even use mouthwash. )

Thanks.

BS 101 says too much protein. WebMD quoted one dentist as saying to drink more water and chew on parsley.

Probably not the protein in my case, but thanks for the suggestion. I will check out the parsley and try to drink more water. Not a big water fan, but I can try and work more into my day.

Thanks!

Too much OR too little protein if you read to the end.

Mary, there are a number of things you can add to water to make it a little more flavorful, which might increase your willingness to drink it.

cucumbers
coconut
mint
fruit slices (don't mash)
and you can probably add any fresh herbs you favor, too

Cucumber is surprisingly refreshing. Peeled long spears in a jug in the fridge. Regular cucumbers, not english or persian.
