We have a Costco about 15 minutes away. I find that 7:30pm is the perfect time to go as well, as long as it's not a payday. We have the $100 Executive membership and get about $250 back with our yearly purchases.

The meat is top grade, and usually about the same prices or cheaper as other grocery stores with good meat. Frozen veggies are top notch and cheap. Cat and dog food is excellent quality and excellent price.

Then there is the garden center! We got some amazing deals there, and the quality of the plants was better than local garden centers. A whole bush of rosemary for $15, when our garden stores were selling one sad little sprig for $5.

It really does depend what you tend to buy. They finally started carrying almond flour at ours but it is way too coarse for me, I will keep buying the JK Gourmet stuff. ALMOND FLOUR | Grain-Free JK Gourmet US

I forgot about another thing we used to get at BJs: Cat litter. When we had two cats, we had two litter boxes, and the large sizes there were very inexpensive.
