Shocked to see this as a recommended dish on the ADA website. Vegetarian baked beans, 1/2 cup serving = 36g carbs, .5 g fat.
Vegetarian Baked Beans - Recipes for Healthy Living by the American Diabetes Association®

I would have eaten 3 servings a few months ago.

This is certain to keep you in need of large doses of insulin the rest of your life! Also keep you a patient of your endo and nutritionist for ever.

Yeah typical ADA.....

Gizmo's Baked Beans, right here in our recipe forum is dynamite!! I've made it many times. Depending on how I divided it 3 or 4 servings, it has 9 or 12 grams of carb per serving. I toss an uncured hot dog into a serving with a salad and have dinner!

Not forever. Sadly, not even as long as you were originally designed to hang around.
