Ate at a local burger joint that does plate lunches. Had hamburger steak w/sautéed onion, green beans, and fried okra. It's probably a site to watch me peel the okra out of the crust.

Today a 15 minutes drive up to Landskrona. Had a large sandwich with a topping of beef and a fried egg at a small cafeteria located in an old house. Sugar level 1.5 hour later 4.3. Took a walk afterwards out to the Öresund strait and took some photos:

1. A castle/fortress called Citadellet built in 1569 when Skåne belonged to Denmark and from 1658 when Skåne became Swedish after a peace treaty, rebuilt as a fortress and surrounded by moats.

2. A canon and in the distance the idyllic island Ven.

3. Concrete blocks built during WW2 to prevent invading tanks and in the background a water tower.

Thank you Clea! Probably I will also make a 25 minutes trip with a regular ferry to Ven later on and show some pictures from that very idyllic island in the middle of Öresund. Well Clea, just waiting for pictures from the Isle of Wight

Pulled pork from the smoker , homemade coleslaw and a small glass V8 juice , then a walk at lunchtime .

Finally a decent day here after what seems like an extended winter.

Perhaps not my day today. Sat down in my newly repaired, excellent old car heading for Lund and the library café. When I had been driving about three km I noticed I had forgotten my smartphone at home. Made a u-turn, headed home and fetched it (how did I manage without a cellphone some years ago).

Finally at the café I ordered my greek salad and no wallet in my pocket. Well, I´m a frequent guest and the wife of the owner family from South America just said - never mind it´s on the house.

Took a photo of my menu and now at home I can see my finger up in the left corner, but never mind I´m not a professional photographer so it will do. Lots of salad and hopefully no more trouble today. Blame it on the bad sleep I had this night.

And the wallet - just placed behind my laptop.

A delicious salad in a deep bowl:

Perhaps too many lunch reports from me, anyway here´s another one:
Felt a bit restless this morning, so I drove out on the highway heading north. Ended up in Ängelholm 60 km north from home. Had lunch at the café at the library: Entrecote, salad, a small potato and a tiny piece of bread. After that a short drive out to the coast for sighseeing. Some photos:

1. A church in the city of Ängelholm. Built in the beginning of the 1700´s
on the grounds of a church destroyed by the Swedes in 1565 (Skåne belonged to Denmark until 1568, when it was conquered by the Swedish forces).

2. A path down to a the beach.

3. A very long sandy, empty beach in the bay Skälderviken.

Default Bacon cheeseburger for lunch

Fried a couple slices of bacon.
Fried a hamburger patty in the bacon grease.
Melted cheddar on the patty.

Assembled cheeseburger - with bacon on the bottom and on top of the patty. (Ate with a fork). Was yummy.

Had some celery on the side.

Did your bg test come out okay after that? Chinese is famous for tricky sauces because they use a lot of corn starch, etc. And of course, you passed on the rice and noodles, right?
