Started medication for under active thyroid, now my system is getting back to normal I have lost the weight I was mysteriously gaining and am losing a little bit each week. I stopped losing about 6-8 months after dx in January 2011 so this is quite exciting! Currently at my lowest weight of 135lbs, haven't seen this weight for about 20 years!

I have lost about 30lbs in the last six months, half of it before DX have of it after, waist went from 37" to 32", weight went from 198 to 169. I was not noticebly fat before (had the middle age gut), but I think i was pretty fat on the inside, I can see my ribs for the first time in a long while. Low Carb has made it so much easier to loose weight than it ever has been before.

I just started losing again after being stuck for four months. However, during that four months, my massage therapist and partner both pointed out that I was still losing fat because my body was changing shape. So if the scale's not moving, just stop looking for a while and have patience.

I'm kinda the opposite. At my fattest, I was like a stuffed tick; my skin was stretched tight, so nothing moved. Now, 56 pounds lighter, I jiggle like crazy. LOL
