Default Ice cream - Sugar and sugar alcohol free?

I read a few closed discussions asking the same... But didn't read any suggestions/solutions. Any Sugar-free Sugar-alcohol-free ice-cream(s) or frozen yogurt(s)?

Sorry....as a diabetic on LCHF...I actually have never looked for any ice cream for diabetics.....

But I would bet someone either has tried some or will have a recipe!

Good Luck

I've tried Breyer's "No Sugar Added" ice cream with Splenda (sucralose). Tasted pretty good and didn't spike me.

Safe... But not safe enough for me! Although Breyer's is sweetened with Splenda... Much higher-up in the ingredients list is "Maltitol Syrup"... One of the nasty sugar-alcohol "itols" I have no tolerance for.

Make your own, with stevia extract instead of sugar?

Does your sugar alcohol requirement include all of them? Erythritol acts a little differently than most in that it largely bypasses the large intestines and is excreted via urine. I get no gastric upset from it, and it doesn't move my bg.

If that's an option, this coffee ice cream recipe seems worth a try. In fact, I think I will

I like the Kristie's Keto site on UTube
I believe for vanilla custard recipe and all the options she gives for it. There is a part 2 for it, and I'd call it a primer. I've made some of her recipes and found them to be good, so I'm trying it soon as it gets hot. It is one that appeals to me. I use Swerve or a mix of it and Stevia.

Happy hot weather!

I don't eat ice cream much and when I do, I get the full fat stuff. It barely raises my blood sugar. That said, it's not very hard to make your own ice with ingredients that are safe for YOU! Lots of recipes and methods on the internet and Youtube and you don't have to have an ice cream freezer.

I love my icecream. I looked at a lot of websites and in the meantime when I was in my favourite kitchen store found a mini icecream maker. It was about 50 AUD things here in Oman are very expensive. I bought it home and put the bowl in the freezer over night. I decided not to muck around and I measured 3/4 cup full fat cream, one sachet of stevia, one teaspoon vanilla extract, I mixed all of this. I joked to my husband ice cream is indeed "iced cream" after all. I started the ice cream maker and slowly poured the mix in and waited with great anticipation..not long, possibly 10 minutes. Took it out of the bowl and shared my treasure with my husband who does not like stevia. He loved it! And so did I. Quick easy and did not do a thing to my blood sugar. In fact, I Think it helps my blood sugar! No really....it does 😊 next thing now is to play with different flavours!
