ShottleBop, Reading your menus I notice that breakfast is as big a part of the day as any other meal. I haven't eaten breakfast for over 50 yrs. I'm not sure why I first stopped eating breakfast but as you can imagine it is now the "norm" for me. With my new discovery of diabetes (I have a lot of learning to do and haven't yet had time to go to the recommended sites) I was wondering if not eating in the morning could have any bearing on my health situation or not.

Many people find that eating breakfast helps keep early-morning rises in blood sugar levels (dawn phenomenon) in check. My blood sugar level tends to rise for a couple of hours after waking up if I don't eat.
