Breakfast: avocado, Carbmaster lemon yogurt, Southern greens blend

11:50 AM (before lunch): 103
Lunch: salad (pepperoni, monterey jack, lettuce, mayo), Trader Joe's handful dry roasted almonds

7:36 PM (before dinner): 94
Dinner: toppings off two slices of pizza, Carbmaster blueberry muffin yogurt, Enlightened mint fudge swirl ice cream bar
9:24 PM: 127 [!!]

Then snack: toppings off two more slices of pizza (throwing caution to the wind), 1 oz. Irish whiskey.

Average for the day: 107

Macronutrients: 79 grams carbs (26 grams fiber), 144 grams fat, 98 grams protein

Friday, April 19:

[By 11:00 PM Thursday night, I was back down to 103]

5:32 AM (FBG, before breakfast): 107
Breakfast: low-carb chocolate/peanut butter ice cream, Southern greens blend, coffee with heavy cream.

1:00 PM (before lunch): 100
Lunch: grassfed beef burger patty with tomato, pepperjack cheese, and two strips bacon; steamed broccoli with diced tomatoes.

[Left work early for the first night of Passover; forgot my meter at the office]

Passover seder: about 10 ounces of wine; deviled egg; 1/2 gefilte fish; matzo ball soup (two small matzo balls), two small squares matzo with charoses (chopped apples, nuts, wine) and grated horseradish; 4 oz. grilled lamb shoulder; oven-roasted Brussels sprouts; sliced cucumber; almond flour cake with apple and coconut (our son made it using this Bon Appetit recipe for gluten-free carrot cake (https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/gl...ee-carrot-cake), but substituted apples for the carrots and candied ginger for the raisins). [I did the calculations today; it runs 20 grams of carbs per serving, which is decidedly NOT low carb.]

Average for the day: 104

Macronutrients: 113 grams carbs (19 grams fiber), 137 grams fat, 94 grams protein

Saturday, April 20:

[No meter]

7:00 AM (waking up): coffee with heavy cream

9:30 AM (breakfast with houseguests): chorizo, eggs, onion, and cheese over lettuce.

[Went into the new office we moved to last week, hung a few pictures, and picked up my meter]

2:41 PM (before lunch): 100
Lunch: .75 serving of the gluten-free (almond flour) apple/ginger cake my son made for Passover [testing]
4:46 PM: 109

5:12 PM: Truly spiked & sparkling (made with sugar cane, instead of grain, so Passover-safe)

6:47 PM (before dinner): 86
Dinner: chicken soup (no matzo balls, but a fair amount of chicken), 1 piece gefilte fish, 1/4 cup pistachios (in-shell), avocado, coffee with heavy cream

[Forgot to test before going to bed]

Average for the day: 98

Macronutrients: 65 grams carbs (21 grams fiber), 115 grams fat, 68 grams protein

Calories: 1.663

Breakfast: avocado, Carbmaster Key lime yogurt, coffee

9:42 AM (before second breakfast (we had houseguests)): 109
Second breakfast: matzo brie (1 (1 oz., 25 grams carbs) piece of matzo (broken up into pieces), 2 eggs, heavy cream, and cinnamon, then fried; 1st time in 11 years), coffee with heavy cream

11:54 AM: 119
Then snack: 1/4 cup unsalted mixed nuts

1:10 PM (before lunch): 130
Lunch: chicken-veggie stirfry (chicken breast, Costco stirfry veggies, sesame seed oil, peanuts),

5:20 PM (snack): Truly Spiked & Sparkling (safe for Passover, because it's made with sugar cane, instead of grain)

Dinner: grilled London broil, sauteed broccoli/bell peppers/onions, low-carb chocolate/peanut butter ice cream, ginger/clove water (my son dissolves ground cloves and ginger into water) with heavy cream and SF vanilla bean syrup
